The King Philip Boys Basketball program consists of multiple recreation and CYO programs, the King Philip Travel Basketball Program and the King Philip High School Boys Basketball program. Thank you for looking into joining our basketball family and we look forward to helping you out reach your goals. The King Philip Youth Basketball, CYO, and Recreation programs are non-profit organizations that are run by dedicated volunteers. These volunteers are creating a positive environment for the young athletes of King Philip to enjoy the game of basketball while teaching them the fundamental skills sets needed to succeed at every level of the game and life. The King Philip Middle School Travel Basketball Program participates in the Metrowest Youth League. Players who participate in the travel program can anticipate practicing two days per week while playing one game per week. The King Philip High School Boys’ Freshman Basketball is an intricate part of the development of our student athletes. At the freshman level our coaching staff focuses on a few major areas for us to work on, they include (but not limited to): 1) Basketball
fundamental skills are taught Each freshman will be given the opportunity to tryout for the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman Team during the first few days of tryouts. The first day of tryouts will be held on the Monday after Thanksgiving starting in the high school gym. The coaching staff philosophy is that if any freshman student athlete is looking to be an active working member of our program we will make every attempt to have a place for them to play in our program. The freshman team will practice or have games 6 days week Monday through Friday with one mandatory practices on weekends. We look forward to having you join our basketball family and please let any of our coaches know if you need anything. The King Philip High School Boys’ Junior Varsity Basketball is a strong part of our program as they will continue in of the development of our student athletes. At the Junior Varsity level our coaching staff focuses on a few major areas for us to work on, they include (but not limited to): 1) Basketball

Boys’ Varsity Basketball. The Varsity team is looking to provide the student
athlete the channel to represent their school, their community, and themselves
in interscholastic athletics. Our varsity team is built off of a family
environment that welcomes any member of our program into all situations. Our
goal is to put a team out on the floor that meets our high standards that we
have set for our program. These included, yet not limited to, the following
